What is this Invitation thing
all about? If you have received an invitation
then a Talent Scout was impressed by your music. There is
no cost involved. If a request for compensation
has been requested, please report the violation and help
to protect your fellow artists.
The next step is to sign in with the code you were given
and submit your supporting materials. You should be prepared
to provide a picture, music sample and an artist blurb.
How do I get an invitation?
If you haven't received an invitation then perhaps none
of our Talents Scouts are aware of your music. Give 'em
a shout. But please don't yell
if your request is rejected. Talent Scouts compete to provide
the best talent possible for musicshowcase.com.
What is a shout?
A shout is a way to get your music heard. When you send
out a shout, your request is posted to the Agent forum.
You will be contacted if you are being considered. If a
number of Agents have decided against extending you an invitation,
you will be informed of this decision.
I've been accepted, what
next? Congratulations! If you have already
submitted your material then the next step is to add the
flash voting object to your website to increase your likelihood
of being in the spotlight position at musicshowcase.com.
If for some reason you don't have a website you can still
participate, however we highly recommend getting a website.
I wasn't accepted, what's
up with that? Each submission is unique.
Here are some things to review:
Was the recording you provided done in a professional studio?
Did it fit the submission criteria ?
Was it reviewed by a single person or did you give a Shout?
You should have received some feedback on the material
you submitted, review it carefully and consider resubmitting.
